Its nice to sit inside and see it raining outside isn't it?

This badger seems to know this, and wants to come and tell us how wet it is! They do this quite often...must be the IR light...or maybe they do know we are watching ;-)

Now we can see much further, we are seeing different kinds of behaviour. Here is another of those strange submissive reactions. It really looks like one is telling the other off.

07/06/2015 - Here we have a rare look at our badgers in daylight and glorious colour :-)

Here they are trying to hide behind the microphone stand underneath another bird feeder - the peanuts have not been put out yet because well, its daylight and the birds will eat them all!

This is the only time of year we get to see them with our own eyes...they are so comfortable here it is possible to stand around 15 feet away and just watch them!

Lovely creatures!

09/07/2015 - Here we see another badger fight, this time during the night while we were sleeping. So...the aggression and fights continue...things are really up in the air right now. Its not very pleasant to see so much unrest to be honest, but they have to do what they have to do...we hope it subsides soon!

22/07/2016 - It is nice to see the badgers so relaxed, and seemingly happy here. Even so, it is surprising that they will actually have a quick power nap after a peanut feast!

23/06/2014 - Another funny clip resulting from us letting our dogs out. As you saw in the previous clip, the badgers scarper when they hear our dogs. In this clip, one of the badgers is a bit careless making its getaway!

We put leftovers out mainly for the fox, but the badgers tend to pinch bits that take their fancy. In this case, looks like this badger is partial to crumpets!

Amusingly, when they steal the fox's food, they often look guilty as they dash off with it.

The fox is suprisingly bold with the badgers sometimes! They definitely all know each other, as they mix most nights, and it only seems to be certain badgers that take offence to the fox being around.

Here is another example of a sound that the badgers often make. Not sure on the technical terms here, but it sounds like a chatter sound to us :-) Seems to be some kind of warning.

11/07/2014 - As you might have seen, we leave food scraps out for the foxes mainly...but the badgers take their fancy to some of it.

One thing we have found that badgers consistently like are chips!

Who'd have thought? They don't get them often, but are really quite partial to the occasional french fry!

Ok so it seems that badgers do all the same things that most animals do...and here is another one to add to the list. You know when you wolf your food down too fast, and you end up getting hiccups?!

So...its the same 'favourite' spot, but this time, there isn't much grooming going on...the badger really seems like it is taking a breather. Not sleeping, but pretty motionless for a while. We don't see this sort of thing much. Bit of a power nap maybe!
