Its nice to sit inside and see it raining outside isn't it?

This badger seems to know this, and wants to come and tell us how wet it is! They do this quite often...must be the IR light...or maybe they do know we are watching ;-)

Now we can see much further, we are seeing different kinds of behaviour. Here is another of those strange submissive reactions. It really looks like one is telling the other off.

22/07/2016 - It is nice to see the badgers so relaxed, and seemingly happy here. Even so, it is surprising that they will actually have a quick power nap after a peanut feast!

The fox is suprisingly bold with the badgers sometimes! They definitely all know each other, as they mix most nights, and it only seems to be certain badgers that take offence to the fox being around.

Here is another example of a sound that the badgers often make. Not sure on the technical terms here, but it sounds like a chatter sound to us :-) Seems to be some kind of warning.

The fox is pretty cunning. Funny that. They ideally like a bit of personal space while eating, so often come over and grab as much food as they can in one go. A bit too much in this case, as some gets dropped!

Most of the 'bickering' we see between the badgers is between two, presumably male badgers. However, occasionally this seems to overflow, and the whole group get drawn in.

Here is a quick snippet of this evening's activity! Most of the clan are here and Teardrop is being rather cute in the background :)

Check out how big Ed is compared to the others... he is the biggest badger of the lot by a distance.

You have just found a clip from UKWildlifeCam! Our channel is a video diary of sorts, from an IP camera in a small yard and paddock in Somerset, England.

Our videos are in date order (we are quite behind at the moment!), and simply show the wonderful creatures that visit us at night.

This all started by accident. We feed the birds, and discovered, by chance, a badger feeding on the waste on the floor one night. This led us to wonder what else might be around, so we bought a camera, and have been absolutely amazed by what we have seen.

We put scraps of food out, and peanuts, and then sit back and see who decides to visit!

The badgers are obviously known to carry fleas and ticks...although I'm sure they would rather not have them!

They sometimes seem to get really annoyed with things nibbling on them - time to sit, lie down, roll around and sort them out!
