07/06/2015 - Here we have a rare look at our badgers in daylight and glorious colour :-)

Here they are trying to hide behind the microphone stand underneath another bird feeder - the peanuts have not been put out yet because well, its daylight and the birds will eat them all!

This is the only time of year we get to see them with our own eyes...they are so comfortable here it is possible to stand around 15 feet away and just watch them!

Lovely creatures!

09/07/2015 - Here we see another badger fight, this time during the night while we were sleeping. So...the aggression and fights continue...things are really up in the air right now. Its not very pleasant to see so much unrest to be honest, but they have to do what they have to do...we hope it subsides soon!

23/06/2014 - Another funny clip resulting from us letting our dogs out. As you saw in the previous clip, the badgers scarper when they hear our dogs. In this clip, one of the badgers is a bit careless making its getaway!

11/07/2014 - As you might have seen, we leave food scraps out for the foxes mainly...but the badgers take their fancy to some of it.

One thing we have found that badgers consistently like are chips!

Who'd have thought? They don't get them often, but are really quite partial to the occasional french fry!

08/06/2014 - So, this is the most savage badger fight we have witnessed yet. We are glad we don't see this often, but it is an important part of badger life it seems.

The badger at the bottom is the aggressor. The one at the top arrived a few minutes before and has largely ignored the one at the bottom (figured that would bore everyone). The one at the bottom has been staring (and probably growling - alas no mic tonight) at it throughout. The one at the top eventually has had enough of the intimidation, and kicks it off - and would appear to get the upper hand. Anyway, after a fair amount of throwing each other around, they run off into the night...hopefully neither too much the worse for the encounter.

12/05/2014 - Another scuffle here...a badger appears out of shot and appears to surprise the badger on the right. After some dancing around, they have a bit of a coming together, then it's a sprint to the fence!

08/07/2015 - Here we see a long clip, to show how drawn out the disagreements can be. Here we see two badgers doing much growling, chattering, posturing and a bit of a scuffle...but also showing much restraint...as they don't quite fight properly. We assume a lot of this is jostling for position within the group, testing each other. After this exchange, they happily fed together, and apart from the odd growl, there was no more arguments that evening!

22/01/2015 - Here we see our 'usual' fox visitor being proper fussy about what it wants to eat! This is a pile of cous cous, with a few bits of meat mixed in to it.

Check out the fussy fox - being very careful to push the healthy rubbish out of the way to get to the meat! :-)

30/03/2014 - Time to get the microphone out again then, and as it happens, this evening featured some rather growly niggly fighty action from our badgers! You can see as soon as the second badger appears that these two don't like each other. Its interesting seeing how they interact with each other - one of them doesnt seem to want a fight, but won't back down either. There is another altercation in a following video. Quite menacing sounding indeed!

07-07-2015 - So this is the next day. The previous day, we had seen the worst fight we had ever seen here (our previous upload)...and today we see another, this time with three badgers getting involved.

This is unusual for us... we dont usually see this much aggression and its not great to watch really when its happening. We want to go outside and tell them to all behave nicely!

However they need to do what they need to do and although this seems quite violent, amazingly the other two badgers in shot just carry on scoffing!

Check out how big Ed is compared to the others... he is the biggest badger of the lot by a distance.

You have just found a clip from UKWildlifeCam! Our channel is a video diary of sorts, from an IP camera in a small yard and paddock in Somerset, England.

Our videos are in date order (we are quite behind at the moment!), and simply show the wonderful creatures that visit us at night.

This all started by accident. We feed the birds, and discovered, by chance, a badger feeding on the waste on the floor one night. This led us to wonder what else might be around, so we bought a camera, and have been absolutely amazed by what we have seen.

We put scraps of food out, and peanuts, and then sit back and see who decides to visit!
