07/06/2015 - Here we have a rare look at our badgers in daylight and glorious colour :-)

Here they are trying to hide behind the microphone stand underneath another bird feeder - the peanuts have not been put out yet because well, its daylight and the birds will eat them all!

This is the only time of year we get to see them with our own eyes...they are so comfortable here it is possible to stand around 15 feet away and just watch them!

23/06/2014 - Another funny clip resulting from us letting our dogs out. As you saw in the previous clip, the badgers scarper when they hear our dogs. In this clip, one of the badgers is a bit careless making its getaway!

The fox is suprisingly bold with the badgers sometimes! They definitely all know each other, as they mix most nights, and it only seems to be certain badgers that take offence to the fox being around.

Here is another example of a sound that the badgers often make. Not sure on the technical terms here, but it sounds like a chatter sound to us :-) Seems to be some kind of warning.

Ok so it seems that badgers do all the same things that most animals do...and here is another one to add to the list. You know when you wolf your food down too fast, and you end up getting hiccups?!

Dogs barking...tawny owl screeching...and badgers brawling! A busy night at the feeding spot!

We have noticed that the local dogs really don't seem to like the Tawny owls doing their thing. Each screech is often returned with furious barking!

The loudest and most obvious sounds the foxes and badger make are of course the growls and screams when fighting. However, if you listen carefully, they do actually make all kinds of noises. Pretty sure most if not all of the sounds are from the fox.

Most of the 'bickering' we see between the badgers is between two, presumably male badgers. However, occasionally this seems to overflow, and the whole group get drawn in.
